Cedabond Family win big at the Catering Insight Awards 2019

2019 saw wins for Members and Suppliers alike, along with a Lifetime Achievement award for our very own Phil Martin

The Catering Insight Awards 2019, held at the Banking Hall in Central London, was a fantastic night celebrating the best of the best in the industry. Cedabond Members, Suppliers and associate businesses did incredibly well, scooping up an amazing eight of the sixteen awards on offer.

From our Suppliers, First Choice Group came away with not one but two awards! They scooped the Catering Insight Supplier of the Year: Service & Support, which honours the supplier best deemed by the industry to be setting the benchmark for after-sales service, support and warranty; and the Catering Insight Supplier of the Year: Training & Education, which recognises the manufacturer who has invested extensively in education programmes for the benefit of the industry over the past 12 months. Both awards reflect the hard work that has been put in over the past year and are thoroughly well deserved!

Hoshizaki won the Catering Insight Supplier of the Year: Heavy Equipment Award, which rewards those suppliers and manufacturers who have created the most innovative heavy duty appliance for sale through distributor channel over the past year. This is no doubt reflecting the launch of their brand new product GA 950, a top-of-the-range 3-in-1 refrigerator/freezer/prover, allowing a significantly reduced footprint within the kitchen. Another fully deserved award!

Our Cedabond Members also won some fantastic awards! HK Projects won the Digital Initiative of the Year, Vision Commercial Kitchens won Distributor of the Year: Corporate Social Responsibility and Lloyd Catering Equipment took home the Distributor of the Year: Marketing & Strategy. A big congratulations to all!

The final award of the night, the Catering Insight Lifetime Achievement Award, went to none other than our very own CEO, Phil Martin.

This award pays homage to an individual who has devoted their entire career to the catering equipment sector and given outstanding service to the industry - although we may be biased, we think everyone will agree that Phil certainly ticks all (and more!) of these boxes. We are proud to work alongside Phil and wish him our biggest congratulations on his accolade!

We would like to say a huge thank you to the Catering Insight team, the night was superbly well-organised and our team had such a fun night - we are looking forward to next year already!
