Garners Finish Charity Drive
19 June 2017
Tim Fisher, Managing Director of Garners Food Service Equipment, would like to extend his thanks to all of those who donated and supported he and his team in their 16-hour golf marathon last Friday.
‘The Old Slogs’ started at 4.30AM and pushed on through 24,000 yards of the Whetstone Golf Club course, finishing the 4th round at 20:30 in the evening.
The 4 local amateurs smashed their original target of £400 by raising more than £800.00 in total for Macmillan Cancer Support.
“The longest Day Challenge was a fantastic opportunity to combine a great pastime with an even greater cause; friends, family and colleagues from the catering industry all chipped in and helped us raise a fantastic sum of money for a cause close to many people’s hearts.”
“The Old Slogs and I greatly appreciate the support, the course was in superb condition, the weather was kind with a cooling breeze, all in all it was a great experience, just need to let the aching feet and back recover before the next challenge”
