MKN has awarded a Gold Partner award to kitchen design, installation and maintenance specialist ABM Catering Group, in recognition of its performance with the German manufacturer over the last 12 months.

ABM has just recorded its best-ever year, thanks in part to a major project to install MKN combi steamers into Welsh schools to support the rollout of Universal Free School Meals (UFSM). It was one of the distributors given contracts by several local authorities in Wales to install MKN combi steamers into school kitchens before the start of the new school year. 

ABM worked closely with MKN, who delivered the appliances alongside oven sizing, enhanced product training, menu development, on-demand support and technical expertise as part of a best-practice programme to meet increased demand due to UFSM.

Now the Group has been recognised by MKN as the only UK distributor to reach the sales threshold for a Gold Award in MKN’s new global partner recognition scheme. Six other distributors in the UK were presented with Silver Awards.
